It is a pure NATURAL HYDRAULIC LIME from SAINT-ASTIER with low strength, white in colour, produced using selected siliceous limestones.
The limestones are fired in vertical kilns at a temperature of less than 1,250° C and reduced to a powder by extinguishing the calcium oxide alone, without the need for grinding. NHL 2 is totally free of pozzolanic materials, blast furnace slag, fly ash or hydraulic binders of any kind (clinker, cement, etc.), VOC and is compliant with UNI EN 459-1.
Pure Natural Hydraulic Lime NHL 2 can be used directly on the building site as a binder for grouting mortars, in the consolidation of cracks in frescoes by injection, reconstruction of mouldings, restoration of thin joints, adhesion of detached plaster, and in all cases where elasticity is a fundamental prerogative. Mortars and plasters made from Pure Natural Hydraulic Lime NHL 2 can be directly applied to vertical and horizontal surfaces consisting of solid brickwork, load-bearing hollow bricks, light hollow bricks, mixed bricks, stone and tuff. For all those surfaces that are compact or not very absorbent, such as concrete blocks, expanded clay granules, cellular conglomerate, lime or cement-based rolled surfaces, reinforced concrete or magnesium wood structures, the use of mortars made on site with NHL 2 lime must be preceded by the application of SPRIZZO PONTE DI ADESIONE.
